Fabien Chalon I Stevens Dossou-Yovo | Marcus & Rita Egli I Jorge Enrique
Julien Graizely I Jonathan Huxley I Alain Le Boucher
For our second gallery exhibition in London, we are pleased to present the work of seven visual artists that place light at the centre of their practices.
Chalon's neon lights installations form a series of letters, words and statements that evokes the simplicity of our humanity. His poetic interventions disrupt our solitude and call for a time of introspection.
Dossou-Youvo's mural sculptures question both the notion of temporality and our perception of space. The folded steel pieces are in levitation and tell us of a suspended time… where light flows.
Egli's metaphorical aluminium figures, "Hominium", interact with the viewer. The small raw figurines, with their faces polished like a mirror, send back to us our image of human beings.
Enrique's pictural vocabulary reassesses his everyday visual reality. His organic or urban objects are presented in their simplest forms, where light, matter and colour deliver a new reality.
Graizely superimposes patterns and colours on his canvases; adding then erasing them, granting an eminently narrative dimension always charged with mysteries and the unspoken.
Huxley's figurescapes are like meditation. Through repetition, he allows us to concentrate on more objective concerns like colour, gesture and light. The exhibition will include the artist's most recent paintings and clay sculptures.
Le Boucher's "Luchrones" combine mathematics, chance and randomness into fine and delicate kinetic pieces. The metallic structure, micro-components and LED lights allow Le Boucher to play his musical scores with light.
